Like Annie Mac says in this radio rip, Basement Jaxx remixing Vampire Weekend’s “White Sky” is a rare and wonderful thing and we should all give thanks. Alright, check. As the fanciful DJ also notes, Basement Jaxx keeps the record’s good parts in tact (i.e. Ezra Koenig’s uber-catchy wailing) but adds a few vital dance-floor elements that make you earn for the 320kbps version.
