If you’re a Pains of Being Pure at Heart fan, it’s probably been a pretty exciting few days for you – just this week, they officially confirmed their new record Days of Abandon, and now they’re sharing its first single. “Simple and Sure” is a woozy, sweet love song heavy on the bubbly guitar and lovestruck falsetto vocals; it’s so tailor-made for driving in the sun that we’re fairly sure it’ll be on constant rotation throughout the spring and summer. Check it out – you can pick up Days of Abandon in a record store starting April 22.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
