I first heard the song Warm Heart of Africa on the 2010 Fifa World Cup game, and now, im addicted to Esau Mwamwaya’s style of music.
It brings out an African fever, that shows all the elements of Africa.
Great Electronic and Tropical beats, i have to rate it 8/10

I love everything I've heard from these guys so far, which is pretty much just the mixtape (listening to the new album on lala as I type). I absolutely couldn't care less about the language of the lyrics. I enjoy music, not poetry. Nothing against poetry, but I'm pretty sure we're discussing music here. These melodies and rhythms are a sweet tonic for any ailment. Mwamwaya's voice is a beam of radiant light that just can't be dimmed.

I absolutely love this album. Maybe it is just me, but I am glad that they sing mostly in Chichewa, as I focus on the amazing voices and the sweet melodies/rhythms that this album has to offer. It takes me away to a happy beach in my mind, and for that, I listen to it almost daily. Cannot wait for the CD to be released!

I really like this album! A few weeks ago, I was erm.. in another state of mind and I started singing my translation of “Julia.” My friend actually thought I knew what the song was saying and she sang my version for the rest of the night.

This is my most anticipated album of the year, by far. I’ve heard the leaked tracks (and of course the mixtape), but am waiting until the album is in my hands to listen to the whole thing. Cannot wait until October 6.

I’m not crazy about it.. 86 seems too high for something w/o lyrics you can understand. I still wouldn’t mind the vinyl (not crazy about it, but i still LIKE it )

This really is great. I’ve listened to it about 500 times.
This is not just a summer album… it’s an album for summer.
And I’m in love with summer. And Africa.

Too bad its basically fall. Still amazing though.

I have kept with with Mwamwaya for quite some time. I loved his mixtape, and this album shows some maturity and great promise. A well done review! I just hope the “pop” lovers can get over hearing music an a language they do not normally hear.

I think it’s great that these guys are getting so much attention in the music world. It’s not often an album almost entirely sung in what I assume to be Chichewa, the native language of Malawi, would become so popular. It really is a great album though. Erza Koenig, in “Warm Heart of Africa” is absolutely amazing.
