The supergroup we discussed the other day here on PMA, Tinted Windows (comprised of members from the Smashing Pumpkins, Fountains of Wayne, Hanson and Cheap Trick), has released a video with previews of their fun, kind of corny but kind of catchy power-pop tunes. Definitely looking forward to this album
Damn. I have no idea. First, when I heard of them, I got excited. Then, when I had heard them, I thought I hated them even though I love Fountains of Wayne Cheap Trick and Smashing Pumpkins. But the songs get better every time I hear them. All the instrumentation and singing is solid. Its definetly a bad type of corny, but I think I might be interested. I only wish that Adam from Fountain of wayne had brought over his amazing lyrics, but it doesn`t seem like it. I know I won`t buy the album, but I`ll probably get the singles and stuff.
Also, possibly due to Fountain of Waynes great lyrics, when I first heard the title I thought that “kind of a girl” meant, like, Sort of a girl or more or less a girl, as in “Kind of” being sort of. I think that would have made the song more interesting.
