On November 2, The Temper Trap will release a remix album, Conditions Remixed, featuring reworkings of their immensely popular debut album by the likes of Fool’s Gold, Rusko, Penguin Prison, Alan Wilkis, and Peter, Bjorn & John. PB&J tackle Conditions‘ seventh track, “Fools,” throwing down a minimalistic 90′s keyloop over it and simplifying the percussion a bit until you reach the track’s twinkling finale. NEW: Cee-Lo Green – “Old Fashioned”
Like the inescapable, “Fuck You” (or “Forget You,” for you, Mr. Radio Programmer), Cee-Lo Green‘s “Old Fashioned,” sounds like it just walked about of a time capsule. Also like “Fuck You,” “Old Fashioned” sounds like a classic, like a song you’ve known all your life. It should also be noted that Cee-Lo’s monolith voice has never shined as bright as it does here. DOWNLOAD: The Go! Team – T.O.R.N.A.D.O.
The Go! Team‘s newest single, “T.O.R.N.A.D.O.” whizzes by like a real-life tornado, I suspect (I never saw Twister). The track’s short two minutes feel like a high fructose corn syrup rush powered by an Energizer Bunny-led marching band. “T.O.R.N.A.D.O.” will be found on The Go! James Blake explains the elusive title of this new unreleased track over and over again, ultimately making up the drama in “I Never Learnt To Share”. Blake’s quivering, vulnerable voice sings “My brother and my sister don’t speak to me / But I don’t blame them”.
