Taking into account everything I’ve heard about the live experience, it seems like their mediocre SNL performance was a fluke. This opinion of mine was completely verified a few nights after SNL on the Colbert Report, where they brought the house down (not like I wasn’t already convinced by their much earlier appearance on Letterman’s fire escape). I don’t know about you, but I want to hear as many songs as possible live- especially “Halfway Home” and “Family Tree.” I’m going to get my CENTRAL PARK tickets as soon as possible. I’m sorry to say that I saw them live when the toured Australia last month, and they were very mediocre. Luckily they were followed by My Morning Jacket, who were awesome.
