The White Stripes will be playing Conan’s final “Late Night,” before he takes over for Jay Leno for good on the “Tonight Show.” Thanks for the great pic, Pitchfork.
The band and the funny guy have a great history with each other- they’ve been on the show twice to promote their albums, and he’s been in one of their music videos! Check it out below, it’s a classic vid, directed by the fantastic Michael Gondry. So before Conan takes over Leno’s “Tonight Show” spot, make sure to catch the Stripes play his last “Late Show” on February 20th.

In other late-night television news, U2 will be David Letterman’s in-house residents for an unprecedented FIVE nights: March 2-6, to promote No Line on the Horizon, which drops March 3rd.
I’m a big “Get On Your Boots” fan, how optimistic are you about Bono’s new material?

Whoa, I haven’t seen the White Stripes on anything for quite awhile!- that’s interesting about the multi-part U2 series as well. I like “Get On Your Boots”; it seems different than what their material has been for the past couple albums, but still…I don’t know if they can harness the epic-ness of their first string of releases. Boy and War are still my favourites!
