Here’s one of the coolest things about the internet – it’s a never-ending goldmine of information you never even knew existed. Case in point – this live recording of an instrumental cut by Talking Heads, “Theme,” which was recorded when the band opened for Television at CBGB’s in 1976 and never released, has been floating around on the internet since November, but has just wound up on our radar today. It’s awesome to hear a band at the beginning of their prime – that cool instrumental groove makes the track sound like something that would fit on More Songs About Buildings and Food. Check it out.
