I first would like to say that I just came across this blog, and absolutely love it. You are doing a great job with music coverage. As for Volcano Choir, I haven't listened to the album yet, but I am a big Bon Iver fan and I plan on listening to the album when I find time. I just wish the Justin Vernon would release another Bon Iver album, instead of a side project. Keep up the good work with your blog/reviews!

I streamed the album off of NPR's website on the days leading up to the album's release and really got to appreciate Vernon's ability to merge with the Collections of Colonies of Bees to create the similar elated sound found on For Emma, yet with a different direction. Your review was pretty much spot on; I love that I am able to hear and visualize their music through your description of the album.

Pretty sweet all the way through. It grew on me a lot between listens nos. 3 and 5, and is definitely going to get some replays as the winter comes on.

Nice review. Looking forward to checking it out. Justin Vernon has such a versatile voice, and brings a great dynamic into whatever he does. It seems like playing with other configurations is making him stronger at his craft.
