WATCH: Daft Punk Join Phoenix in NYC

Last night, Daft Punk hit the stage at Phoenix‘s show in New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden arena during their encore. With Phoenix, the french house gods played a jammed out mix of their classic “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and “Around The World”. This was Daft Punk’s first live performance in three years. Hopefully the first of many, seeing that their Tron Legacy soundtrack is due out in a few weeks. You can watch the video of Daft Punk performing “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and “All Around The World” (after Phoenix’s “If I Ever Feel Better”) below: (Continue Reading)

Robyn’s Body Talk Pt. 3 Gets A Tracklist, Release Date

The third, final installment of Robyn‘s dance-pop Body Talk series will arrive Stateside on November 22 (along with the National’s extended High Violet, and possibly, Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy). Body Talk Pt. 3 will hit stores November 29 in the UK, November 22 in Scandinavia, November 26 in Australia, and December 3 in Germany. Unlike it’s two predecessors, Pt. 3 is not a roll-with-the-punches-minialbum, it is the culmination of Robyn’s entire Body of work in 2010. It will be a 15-track album, 10 of which are drawn from the earlier components of Body Talk, 5 from Pt. 1 and 5 from Pt. 2. (Continue Reading)

WATCH: The National – “Terrible Love” (Alternate Version) Music Video

This gorgeous alternate version of High Violet‘s opening track, “Terrible Love,” will appear on reissue/extended edition of the album as well as on a single pressed on 7″ violet vinyl, both due out November 22. The National released this video of the new “Terrible Love”, directed by Tim Berninger. The homey video depicts the National, not only as an intense, powerful live music beast, but also as a completely likable, goofy band of brothers (literally, four of the five members are sets of two brothers). Watch the clip and enjoy the alternate “Terrible Love” below: (Continue Reading)

Hump Day Playlist Vol. III

Note: Hump Day Playlists stopped for a bit because I was busier than I expected to be, but they’re back now. BTW the image used above is the now banned album cover for Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy — due out November 22. Let’s go!

An extension to our regular PMACAST, we will have short weekly Hump Day Playlists to help get over the usually crappy first few days of the week and roll down the still somewhat crappy hill that leads to TGIF, #followfriday’s and the overall weekend. Listen to this week’s 12-track playlist in the embedded player above (click the “Download” button on the fancy player above for one big MP3). Full tracklist below: (Continue Reading)
