Grizzly Bear’s upcoming album, Veckatimest, received a cover of its own, and it too is cool:

This album is likely to be one of 2009’s biggest and best judging from early live performances. Check out their excellent performance of “Two Weeks” on Letterman’s “Late Show.” Tracklist for Veckatimest below.

1. Southern Point
2. Two Weeks
3. All We Ask
4. Fine for Now
5. Cheerleader
6. Dory
7. Ready, Able
8. About Face
9. Hold Still
10. While You Wait for the Others
11. I Live With You
12. Foreground
Thanks to Pitchfork and Stereogum. What do you guys think of the covers? And which of the two are you more heavily anticipating?

I can’t wait for the Grizzly Bear album, like the cover art of YYY’s new album better though.
Cheesy egg crunch picture over pretty art? Joshua PLEASE
whoa, that grizzly bears song is great!
the cover art for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is completely awesome, though.
what’s cheesy about it?? ¬¬
no yyy’s demos? it’s been too long since their last album…
That photo probably took five minutes to make. It’s neat, cool composition. But that’s all. And I’m not saying time involed is what makes something good, but is it REALLY that great? I bet you we could recreate it right now. And apply it to any album we wanted to and call it “punk” or something ridiculous like that. Because it’s a cool hi res photo, does that mean its really a good album cover?!
