Grizzly Bear’s upcoming album, Veckatimest, received a cover of its own, and it too is cool:

This album is likely to be one of 2009′s biggest and best judging from early live performances. Check out their excellent performance of “Two Weeks” on Letterman’s “Late Show.” Tracklist for Veckatimest below.

That photo probably took five minutes to make. It’s neat, cool composition. But that’s all. And I’m not saying time involed is what makes something good, but is it REALLY that great? I bet you we could recreate it right now. And apply it to any album we wanted to and call it “punk” or something ridiculous like that. Because it’s a cool hi res photo, does that mean its really a good album cover?!
