Earlier this year, Harlem up and comer Azealia Banks had committed to releasing an EP, a mixtape and a full length album in just a few months. Many thought it was too good to be true, and it turns out it was. Banks’ official debut, Broke With Expensive Taste has been pushed back from September 2012 to February 12, 2013.
The rapper didn’t give a reason for the delay but promised that “I have ALOT of REALLY excitin ish happening in btwn! it will ALL make sense as these things start to unravel.”
Before dropping her 19-track Fantasea mixtape in July, she released a four-track EP called 1991 in May, featuring “212,” “Liquorice” and brand new single “Van Vogue”:
