Watch and listen Cee-Lo cover the Band of Horses’ “No One’s Gonna Love You” above, off his forthcoming Cee-Lo Green Is the Lady Killer, out August 9. I love just about everything about this clip; the story, the way it was shot, the song. Very well spent few minutes of my Friday. Note: The video contains some nudity. NSFW at all, folks.

Love this. My favorite part of the video is that he’s wearing a drug rug when she leaves him — because that would be the last straw for me, too.

What a way to ruin a beautiful song.

ruin? really? I think Cee-Lo has made the song beautiful in its own way. The video is also strikingly beautiful.

i thought the video was awful and cliche, but i like what he’s done with the song.

Yeah, why don’t you just go ahead and play the RACE card, since you’re not playing with a full deck! Who are you really? Chris Matthews?

A beautiful song ruined. This is a sin beyond all belief.

No, I think the original song still exists in the same physical universe as this song, in the exact same condition as it was before this new song was made.

So ruined isn’t really the word.

@pmablog I was first hesitant about hearing Cee-lo cover Band of Horses, but it is amazing. the video, story, and song are great.

@pmablog Greatest part of the video had to be 00:58. Homie threw that white tiger like it was nothing. That shoulda made up for not jumping.

Hearing the remake of this song has brought my attention to the original artists. I would love to hear more from the BAND of Horses.

I’m sorry, but Cee Lo’s vocals are vastly better than the original’s. The original is melodic and very pretty, but the singer took some weird and wincing angles with some of the lines. This is way easier to groove to.

Do you know by any chance who directed the video? It is absolutely phenomenal, and together with the song, it created something amazing
