Nope, Josh Brolin didn’t start a band – this Brolin is the project of a young UK native, who’s jump-starting his career by composing a series of gorgeous songs about cities around the world. This one, “Reykjavik,” follows tracks about New York and Lisbon. Brolin sings and produces – his vocals are light, ambient, and sultry; his production decidedly more textured and maximalist, with a tightly knit myriad of fascinating, looped sounds. You can hear “New York” and “Lisbon” too – both will get you psyched up for an EP, which he’s dropping March 25.
