Check Out: Dungeonesse – “Shucks”

When she’s not shredding in Wye Oak, Jenn Wasner plays in a more electronically-inclined band called Dungeonesse with her friend Jon Ehrens – here’s another single from their upcoming self-titled debut record, “Shucks.” Even if you’re not a fan of Wasner or Ehrens‘ other projects, check this out – we’re digging Wasner’s layered, diva-esque vocals, figured over a dense, sexy, summery electronic backdrop, complete with a throbbing bass groove and twinkling synth effects. The record’s out May 14, just in time for summer, but crank “Shucks” up while you’re waiting for it to warm up. Check it out.
