Ty Segall released three albums in 2012, one with San Francisco psych outfit White Fence, one with his touring band, and one on his own, and it seems like he’s heading for an equally prolific 2013, at least based on the fact that he’s just started a new band, Fuzz, who have quietly dropped a debut 7″.

Don’t listen to these tracks expecting some classic Segall guitar mashing – he’s on drums and vocals here, while Charlie Moonheart, who plays guitar in Ty’s live band, takes to the heavily distorted, classic rock-inspired shredding. We’re psyched on both tracks, but “Fuzz’s Fourth Dream” is almost evil enough to sound like a lost Black Sabbath cut. Check it out.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
