The saga of Arcade Fire’s new album, which is probably called Reflektor, continues. British rag, The Sun, reports – but remember, it’s THE SUN! – that longtime AF superfan David Bowie worked with Arcade Fire on their new album. The paper claims that the Thin White Duke joined the sextet and producer James Murphy (former frontman of Bowie cover band LCD Soundsystem) at New York’s Electric Lady Studios.

Is this another one of The Sun‘s insane stories, or does this one have a bit of truth to it? When the the press reached out, Arcade Fire’s publicist said they “can neither confirm or deny” the story.

What we can confirm is that on Monday, September 9, at 9PM eastern time, Arcade Fire will release a Anton Corbijn-directed music video and a 12″ single called “Reflektor.” The EP will be available at select record stores across North America – stay tuned for a list of which ones.
