Divergent Soundtrack

Since the dawn of time, angst-y teen movies have always been a source for exceptionally stacked soundtracks. This has especially been true with the recent global take-over of Young Adult fiction movie adaptions like Twilight (which probably did more than anybody to introduce Millennials to Radiohead). Now that that asinine vampire romance series is long gone and The Hunger Games saga is quickly wrapping up, another massively popular dystopian book series, Divergent, is poised to be the next billion-dollar Hollywood franchise, and its soundtrack is powered by some exciting names.

The big story here is that Kendrick Lamar is teaming up with Tame Impala to re-create the bands' already-perfect "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards." Or maybe the big story is that M83 is contributing a new song called "I Need You." Or that A$AP Rocky is teaming up with French techno DJ Gesaffelstein for "In Distress." Or that Ellie Goulding has basically hidden a new EP in this soundtrack. Or that Chance the Rapper is somewhere on this.

Take your pick. The soundtrack is out March 11, the film follows on March 21.
