New York City, Guns N’ Roses are your third headliner of Governor’s Ball. No doubt some small part of you is pumped to hear Kanye’s “Welcome To Heartbreak” and their “Welcome To The Jungle” emanating from the same stage two different nights in one weekend, yet the announcement kind of made us laugh, but in a very impressed way. Axl Rose and company just seem like an anachronism sitting at the top of a billing which is so completely current, but hopefully they’ll put on an excellent show in addition to giving all you Governor’s Ball attendees the opportunity to say “I saw ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ live,” which we suppose is something still worth bragging about.

The festival is June 7-9, and tickets have been going fast. Regularly priced tickets are on sale now via the festival’s website.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
