Jamie xx, beatmaster of British mood queens the xx, has been releasing brilliant, game-changing singles since 2011 (not to forget his official remix LP of Gil Scott-Heron’sI'm New Here from 2011), but he's finally getting around to putting out a solo album. In an upcoming cover story, Jamie told Mixmag that his solo debut is out in June and will be called In Colour. It will include recent singles "Girl" and "Sleep Sound". Other tracks have titles like called "Gosh", "Loud Places", and "Seesaw". The LP will also feature collaborations with the xx's true secret weapon Romy Madley Croft and fellow forward thinker behind the boards, Four Tet.
After releasing a few solo singles, the xx beatsmith is ready to release a solo album.
