M.I.A. Sets ‘Mathangi’ Release Date

Though it’s been rumored for release this year, M.I.A. officially confirmed to the Australian Gold Coast Bulletin that she will release her fourth record, Mathangi, on April 15. She also said she’s nearly finished with it, just ironing out the kinks with her label, Interscope.

We hope it’s worth the wait – it’ll be her first official full-length release since 2010’s controversial /\/\/\Y/\, but the songs she’s released in the interim (“Bad Girls,” her VICKILEEKX mixtape, a few demos here and there) have been nothing but stellar. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more!
