According to BBC Radio 1 jockey Zane Lowe, the will be premiering a brand new M.I.A. single called “Bring The Noize” on Monday between 7 and 8pm (or noon and 1pm EST). Bug out!

“Bring The Noize” will follow up last year’s excellent “Bad Girls,” and hopefully heralds the imminent arrival of her much delayed album Matangi, which is supposed to sound like “Paul Simon on acid.” Earlier today “Bring The Noize” made a brief appearance on the UK Amazon store — which claimed the single was out June 18 — but it has since been removed. Kind of ballsy to take Yeezus head on.

But anyway, while you wait until Monday — four more days! — revisit the awesome Grammy-nominated “Bad Girls” video along with the 8-minute Matangi mini mix Maya shared a while back:

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
