Ignoring the questionable Idlewild film and soundtrack, Outkast haven’t released a proper album since 2003′s GRAMMY Album of the Year winner, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. According to Big Boi, 7 or 8 years is long enough a break for he and Andre 3000 to start “brewing” something.

In a BBC Radio 1 interview, Big Boi gave vague but exciting news that Outkast was definitely up to something. “That’s all top secret information now. We can’t let people know what we’re doing. You better know that something is brewing,” he said.

You better know that Big Boi announced his solo album, Sir Luscious Left Foot, on a 2007 issue of Vibe, and it is finally set to be released on June 6th of this year. Are we to wait another 3 years for a new Outkast album? Let’s hope it’s not a Speakerboxxx/The Love Below 10 Year Anniversary package. [via]
