“When I Dream” has the clean and open, chamber pop sound that we’ve come to expect from Ra Ra Riot, with a swelling string section underpinned by a house-esque bass line. “When I dream, it’s not of you,” goes the chorus on this one, which does have some of the catchy sadness that fueled the chart success of “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Though it’s not quite the earworm that the Gotye song is though. It’s off Beta Love, which is out January 22.
