The organizers behind Primavera try, year after year, to hit the ceiling with their lineup announcements, and each year they seem to go straight through it. Optiumus Primavera Sound, their wonderfully named Portuguese edition, features (inhale for breath if reading aloud): Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Breeders performing Last Splash, Explosions in the Sky, Swans, James Blake, Grizzly Bear, FIDLAR, Foxygen, Meat Puppets, Deerhunter, Dan Deacon, Neko Case, Rodriguez, Local Natives, Fucked Up, Dead Can Dance, Titus Andronicus, Four Tet, Fuck Buttons, Wild Nothing, METZ, Melody’s Echo Chamber, Merchandise, Do Make Me Think, Glass Candy, Savages, and, of course, more. The festivities will go down May 30 – June 1 at Parque da Cidade in the city of Porto. Buy tickets here.
