Check Out: The Soft Pack – “Saratoga”

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard new material from The Soft Pack, the San Diego-area four-piece formerly known as The Muslims, but their new LP Strapped is coming soon and they’ve just released the first single, the driving, hypercatchy guitar pop jam “Saratoga.” We’ve always been enamored with the band’s taste for tempo-shoving, wandering basslines and relentless drums, and “Saratoga” has got both those in spades, plus plenty of distorted guitars and miles-away vocals from frontman Matt Lamkin; we guarantee the final product will make you want to drive really fast to Saratoga. Check it out – Strapped drops September 25.
