Solange is ready to release her first record since a 2012 EP, True. Her last full-length album was 2008’s charming and colorful Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams. Eight years later comes A Seat at the Table, a 20-track effort, or as Solange puts it, “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief and healing” that has been in the works since 2013. The album will be released on Friday, September 30. You can peruse the album’s digital booklet here.
