Despite dropping two delightfully creepy records within the past few years, David Lynch has been relatively quiet on the filmic front, even responding to queries about what he's been working on with sneaky non-answers. Well, now we know something's up - Lynch and his frequent collaborator Mark Frost have just confirmed that they will reboot their classic series Twin Peaks for Showtime, with nine full-length episodes set to air in 2016, each written by Lynch and Frost and directed by Lynch. Apparently the new episodes will take place in the present day and provide "long-awaited answers and a satisfying conclusion" for the story. Will the same cast return? Will the legendary Angelo Badlamenti once again take on soundtrack duties? Will I manage to finagle a cameo? Only time will tell - stay tuned.
It is happening again.
