For those of you who have been eagerly anticipating a third album confirmation from Vampire Weekend since the band started performing new track “Unbelievers” live this summer, frontman Ezra Koenig took to the pages of England’s Q Magazine to discuss his and his band’s plans for the upcoming year.
The as-yet-untitled new record might even be out as early as this spring, and Koenig says it follows some of the characters from their previous releases into darker, organic stories. It’s also the band’s first to incorporate an outside producer, Ariel Rechtshaid, who’s been helping out keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij. We’ll keep you posted on more details as we get them.
