Beyoncé Leads VMA Nominations with 11 for Lemonade

It’s that time of year again—MTV has announced the full list of nominations for their Video Music Awards. Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 nominations for Lemonade (the clips for “Formation”, “Hold Up”, “Freedom”, and “Sorry” get individual shoutouts). This gif has never been more appropriate:

Among those nominated not named Beyoncé, Adele leads with eight mentions, followed by Drake’s six. As usual, artier artists like Tame Impala, FKA twigs, Florence and the Machine, and David Bowie are represented in the non-televised technical awards.
