Sad news from the long Thanksgiving weekend: Manchester post-punk anthem-crafters WU LYF are apparently no more. Before you put on their only record Go Tell Fire to the Mountain for a nostalgic spin, check out their farewell track “T R I U M P H,” which the band posted to YouTube as their last act. It’s a bittersweet listen – it’s a great track, all spiky guitar and shouted group vocals in the vein of the band’s best numbers, so it’ll make you sad you won’t hear any more from them.

If this is our last month living, apocalypse looming, I am not going to spend my final hours waiting in purgatory. I am done.
