erm this is from last year
Yea, its getting rather annoying to love his music, yet DESPISE his personality. I can somewhat understand where he’s coming from, though. I feel like MTV gave Britney her 3 VMAs because they felt bad for her, and wanted to help her with her “comeback”…Honestly, go look @ the “Piece Of Me” and tell me THAT was Video of the Year.
BUT, he was also arrested again today, this time in London, for pushing a pap’s camera into his face and cutting him. A lot of people argue that celebrities sign up for this when they put themselves out there, but I feel like being constantly followed and flashed by cameras can undoubtedly be annoying…. Although maybe violence shouldn’t be the answer, especially when you’ve already been arrested for it once.
Heh, Luis, it looks like I have a follower in the Britney camp with Sean! This actually wasn’t this past awards, this was the MTV VMA’s in Las Vegas, where he did the good life show at the top of the Palms Hotel. He went into a tirade because Stronger was the biggest thing out at the time and some other b/s people won awards instead of him. I’m DEFINITELY not condoning him acting like a fool, the man has a HUGE ego. We went to go see him in Bonnaroo this past summer, and he was supposed to go on at 2:45 AM, and didn’t end up coming on stage until past 4 in the morning because he wanted all the other performers on all the other stages to finish before he would go on. And then when he did come on, his light show was going on as the sun was coming up, it was a joke. I respect songs like Flashing Lights, and his new stuff sounds dope and different, but the man needs to be brought back down to earth a bit
I read an article yesterday that says he’s almost to Michael Jackson status in his mind. PLLLLLEASE. He makes good music, but no one will ever touch the King of Pop
I don’t even care about the rants and the raves, it gives him more layers. Most artists would probably cry on their pillow too after losing five very well-deserved awards. His moment just happened to be secretly videotaped.
I think someone @ Mtv was watching though because they DID get Britney, gave that crazy ^&*%# the video of the year award :]. And Kanye is saying now that he wants to be a pop act….
Don’t worry Kanye, once your album actually drops you’ll be back in the spotlight.
If people don’t like Kanye’s personal life (or any entertainer for that matter), then my advice is to stop worrying about it. Worry about your own… haha.
Oh, I try not to worry about people’s lives. This video hardly reflects his life.. this video reflects his personality — which is something music is made up with.

Seriously I do respect Kanye as an artist, not as a person. Because, When someone starts complaining about not getting the award that someone else got, is when you realize how shallow people have become morally. I mean why has he been calling out other artists recently? like wtf, its not like they all make an album for award purposes only, like he does. They get it, because their fans get them (through their music). Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that people need to grow up. Oh and the last time I checked, it was the general public that votes who gets an award (for MTV award shows). Numbers dont lie… Britney fans > Kanye Fans. He probably should have thought about that. And before anyone tries to bring up sales numbers… its completely different from being a fan.

He is such a bitch! I have this unhealthy love/hate relationship with him. I think his anger comes from repressing his homosexuality. It’s true he IS such a cry baby but I love his fucking music. No matter how many times I tell myself I’m not going to get his shit, I always go back!

The VMA’s and similar award show awards are *not* voted on by the people, but on a selected “board” of voters by the network…. one of which for this britney VMA’s was Perez Hilton. The only ones voted by the people are the ones tha have a “peoples choice” award or whatever they decide to call it, and its usually only one award out of the whole show.
