Early reports about Stars' seventh LP No One is Lost focused on the fact that the record was written and recorded entirely at Montreal's Mile End studios, above a nightclub called Royal Phoenix that's since closed. The music from below apparently inspired the tone of the album, and the singles we've heard have reflected that fact - bubbly synth tones, fist-pumping bass, and typically Stars lyrics charged with a sense of eternal present. Now you can stream the whole record via NPR a week in advance of its physical release - it's a great listen throughout, whether you're feeling like dancing or some more meditative listening. Check it out below via NPR and/or wait to pick up a physical copy in a record store starting October 14th.
