André 3000 & NPR's Frank Tavares on Capital Cities' "Farrah Fawcett Hair"

Leave it to Los Angeles synth-pop wizards Capital Cities to bring together André 3000 and the booming voice of NPR’s Frank Tavares. On a track called “Farrah Fawcett Hair,” no less.

Genre- and description-ducking, this is a miracle of a song. If only because even as you're listening to it you aren't entirely sure if it's really happening at all. Every second of it is ridiculous, self-aware and utterly joyous. You're allowed to laugh. But once you're done doing that, you'll almost definitely be singing along to "Like Michael Jackson Thriller / Like Farrah Fawcett hair / it's good shit / it's good shit, yeah!"

Capital Cities'In a Tidal Wave of Mystery is out June 4.
