If there are saxophone solos and singers like Lindsay Powell still around after the apocalypse, well, then everything might be alright after the downfall of civilization. "Eve of a New Moon" earns the "Post-Apocalyptic Pop" tag that Powell applied to it on her Soundcloud page for her Fielded project with a style that No Fear of Pop rightly calls "almost baroque" (their entire, extremely on point write-up on Fielded is well worth a read). It's a style with a tendency towards ultra-satisfying grandiosity.
This is off Powell's forthcoming Nine Thirty Thirty. It's out April 23 on Captcha Records.
