Since we first shared "Black Cat" almost two years ago, I'm pretty sure I've become the biggest Soft Walls fangirl in the game. The project's debut record was handily my most-played of 2012 and I'm still listening to it pretty much daily. Mastermind Dan Reeves also plays in Cold Pumas and runs Faux Discx, one of the coolest little record labels out there right now (literally everything on that Bandcamp page is good), so I think my devotion is pretty warranted. Reeves is gearing up now for record #2; it's called No Time and I literally can't wait, and here's our second taste (after "Guided Through"), "Never Come Back Again," as in "I wish this feeling would never come back again," a kraut-y, simmering juggernaut sifting itself together piece by layered piece, Reeves' reverb-heavy vocals the cherry on top. Check it out - you can pick up No Time in a record store starting July 29th.
A layered, driving new gem from one of our most anticipated records of 2014.
