Arthur Ashin a.k.a. Autre Ne Veut has released a mouthful of a compilation, CD-Collection-Circa-2006 Mix: Or, Shopping the Tower Records Liquidation Sale. The very appropriate title refers to material Ashin collected when Tower Records in Manhattan liquidated all of its records, circa 2005ish. After a few listens, the CD's he had acquired remained in storage until he recently went through the boxes after seven years, and made a mix of his favorites. At nearly 70 minutes in length, it's very much a "mix CD sans the actual CD itself," and features a range of artists, from Bob Marley to Kate Bush.
