Hot Chip Why Make Sense

After teasing us with new music last week, Hot Chip have announced a new album, Why Make Sense?, and it's out May 18. It'll be their first album since 2012's In Our Heads. They've also announced an four-track EP that will be included with all pre-orders of the album. So, get on that.

The album announcement comes with a corker of a new song, the album's opener (which features a spoken word bit from Annie Mac?), "Huarache Lights." I mean, two thumbs the fuck up. The song's visual accompaniment is also great; directed by Andy Knowles, it's a one-shot take of a light installment that blinks and buzzes in tandem with the song. Watch below, while you peruse the album and EP's tracklists:

Hot Chip, Why Make Sense?:

01 Huarache Lights
02 Love is the Future
03 Cry For You
04 Started Right
05 White Wine and Fried Chicken

10 Why Make Sense?
