Just last year, Austra put out the underappreciated and amazing Olympia, but Katie Stelmanis and company are back with a new EP called Habitat coming soon in advance of a string of summer festival dates. You can hear our first taste of that now, the skittering, layered title track, which, like the best Austra songs, sounds like wandering through a dark wood in the rain to spy on a druidic ritual over which Stelmanis presides. The rest of the tracks on the EP are reportedly instrumentals, giving this one particular power. You can pick up Habitat in a record store starting June 17th; you'll have no trouble putting this on repeat in the meantime.
