In the grimy, R-rated video for N.E.R.D.'s 2001 single, "Lap Dance,"Pharrell Williams and partner in crime Chad Hugo (who also serves as half of production group the Neptunes) can be seen frolicking around in stripclubs while wearing vintage polo shirts, acting as the symbol for rap-punk that would later inspire the likes of Tyler the Creator and the whole Odd Future crew. Who would have thought back then that, 13 years later, Pharrell would undergo a serious revival as a popstar, with particular thanks owed to Daft Punk and the makers of Despicable Me 2. In the meanwhile, many, who remember him, have concluded that Chad Hugo fell off the face of the earth; well, today, they can be proven wrong. The reclusive producer has stepped out of the shadows with a remix of Little Dragon's "Killing Me," adding a pop pitch to the darker Nabuma Rubberband cut. Hear it below:
