Sharon Van Etten's released three songs from her upcoming Are We There so far, and given that they're each better than the last, we're expecting this record to be out of control amazing. Case in point - "Your Love Is Killing Me," whose six emotionally bare, instrumentally maximalist minutes figure Van Etten's singular, versatile pipes over distorted guitar, organ, and huge drums to render maximal chills; all the while she's singing about the assorted ways in which she's going to mutilate herself in order to quit loving someone, "you like it when I let you walk over me," etc. Test your emotional fortitude and turn it all the way up. Are We There is out May 27th.
