Late in 2013, husband-wife duo Tennis released an EP called Small Sound. Then, earlier this year, they announced their forthcoming third album in as many years, Ritual in Repeat, sharing lead single "Never Work For Free." It seems the duo are desperately trying to break into the mainstream with this one - fans have seemed rather quiet since their breakthrough debut Cape Dory - enlisting a few prominent producers to work alongside them, including the Black Keys' Patrick Carney, Spoon's Jim Eno, and the Shins' Richard Swift. With polished new single "I'm Callin," it shows. The band have certainly matured in the few years they've been around, making this particular Tennis fan excited for things to come. Hear "I'm Callin" below, via Stereogum; Ritual in Repeat drops on September 9th via Communion.
