We still find ourselves turning back to Lower Dens' 2012 record Nootropics, so we're very psyched that they're now prepping a follow-up, Escape from Evil, for release this year. Here's our first taste, "To Die in L.A.," which puts frontwoman Jana Hunter's otherworldly, soaring voice in the forefront over a tight, Kraut-y groove and plenty of atmospheric synth and guitar sounds. Turn it up the next time you're driving your convertible around Los Angeles. The whole record, produced by Hunter with mixing help from Chris Coady and Ariel Rechtshaid, is out March 31st. You'll have no trouble putting "To Die in L.A." on repeat in the meantime.
Our first taste from their upcoming Escape from Evil.
