Ratcliffe

The last time Simon Ratcliffe has come out with any of his own music apart from Basement Jaxx, where he shares duties alongside fellow London based producer Felix Buxton, was in 1995 with his City Dreams EP. Now, after putting out several successful stints as a duo, Ratcliffe is preparing the world for a new solo EP called Rijkers, which hits stores June 6th via him and Buxton's own Atlantic Jaxx.

He's also premiered the first single, an instrumental whirlwind of synthesizers and obtrusive drum patterns called “Tightrope.” Certainly not as poppy or structured as a Basement Jaxx cut, it's pure experimental electro madness with a bit of that Nintendo/Atari feel to it.
