The Guardian’s James McMahon wrote in a short piece earlier this week about The Streets’ Mike Skinner’s effective use of social media in spreading news about his upcoming sixth and final record Computers and Blues (due, according to the counter on the Streets’ website, in 75 days), especially through his allegedly excellent “hungover tweets.” Skinner promptly proved McMahon right by responding with a short video on the subject of how said hungover tweets come about – it’s a short, short song, but Skinner’s verse is typically great, that backing track (looped church-choir-solo wails!) is incredible, and the visuals (Stella Artois and I don’t think that’s just a hand-rolled cigarette) are fun. Give it a watch and a listen.

The Streets has been releasing a lot of new tunes recently. Check out "Trust Me" "4 O'Clock" and "San Frandemonium"
