THE WHITE STRIPES

Ever since Jack and Meg announced their official split, fans have spent hours upon hours mourning and hoping that this was all just some kind of twisted and cruel joke. But as time moves forward it appears that a “we were just playing” statement is quite unlikely (at the moment).

Jack however, has decided to ease the pain a bit by releasing two previously unreleased tracks (which are like striking oil right now) via his Third Man Records vault.

Although "Signed D.C." and "I've Been Loving You Too Long" are both cover songs originally performed by Arthur Lee and Otis Redding, respectively - both of these tracks have that amazing soulful-rock awesomeness that made us love The White Stripes so much from the jump. Stream both songs below.
