Fall Out Boy Cover The Killers: Ironic, Much?
Wasn’t the innocuous Brandon Flowers who said he wants to beat bands like Fall Out Boy “to death”? Way to get back at him, Pete! Perform “Mr. Brightside” in front of thousands of fans during VooDoo and possibly one-up the Las Vegas crooners?
The perfect punishment for releasing a horrendous Joy Division cover as a single. Yes, I am still angry at Flowers for that. Sawdust can go collect all the dust it wants on Walmart shelves for all I care, even though “Tranquilize” is nothing short of brilliant — this is what iTunes is for.
Enough about the Killers, the video’s quality isn’t great, but I would love to hear a studio version of this, it would be fantastic! This song suits Patrick’s voice amazingly well.
