The Clipse’s Rick Rubin produced Till The Casket Drops is almost upon us, dropping sometime in October. “All Eyes On Me” features one of the sickest beats The Neptunes have produced in quite a while. This new song, (second single? third single? I honestly don’t know…) is probably my favorite cut from the album so far.

I can appreciate Keri Hilson — She was, after all, that inescapable voice of 2007’s summer on Timbaland’s ultra-hit “The Way I Are” — but I can’t help but to feel that Rihanna would have made this song a lot more special. Keri’s voice sounds sullenly lifeless. Or maybe I’ve been jamming to “Live Your Life” for far too long.

“Since U Been Gone” will probably go down in history as one of the early 00’s best pop songs, along with other pop gems like “Toxic” and “Umbrella.” Like “Toxic” and “Umbrella,” “Since U Been Gone” is no stranger to the cover scene. Since it’s induction into chambers of pop royalty, Robyn, The Gossip, Ted Leo, the Aquabats, and Fucked Up have all covered the song.

Keri Hilson, on many occasions during her stay on Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveShow, covered Kelly Clarkson’s trademark single and Timbaland and JT have taken the vocals from her live performances put them over a generic Timbo/JT beat. The cover only runs a minute and 31 seconds, but it gives “Since U Been Gone” a nice r&b flavor to it, something I never imagined I’d enjoy. Continue reading →

“Energy” is the first single off of Keri Hilson’s debut album, “In A Perfect World”. It’s a nice slow song, but I don’t think that it’s amazing, however each listen grows on me. I believe that “Get It Girl” would’ve been a better lead single.

Keri Hilson & Nicole Scherzinger. I have a new song for you readers, called “Hello” by Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson & Attitude. Keri Hilson’s debut CD is out in a couple of months, and several songs by her are already leaked on the internet, “Headsprung” (feat. Justin Timberlake), and “Love Ya”.
