“Welcome To The World” is Kevin Rudolf’s answer to those calling him a one-hit-wonder. His massive hit (but somehow, still understated) single with Lil Weezy, “Let It Rock” has seem acclaim worldwide, has been certified platinum by the RIAA, and has reached Top 5 glory, it inevitably started to fizzle down.  Since then, Rudolf dropped the hopeful second single, “Welcome To The World” featuring Rick Ross. As far as I know, that wasn’t working out for him too well. But maybe now that he has the recently un-retired Kid Cudi on the track, coupled with both of their first-single success stories, maybe “Welcome To The World” can become the big second single Kevin Rudolf hoped it would be. New Kevin Rudolf & Nas – NYC

New Kevin Rudolf & Nas NYC listen Kevin Rudolf is the big black horse in the music world, right now. His name sounds somewhat familiar — but his debut single, “Let It Rock” is immediately recognizable. This new tune, “NYC” continues the rock/pop/rap fused style “Rock” showcases — only this time the mic is shared with Nas. 

For those looking for “Get Crazy” party music, this is it. Kevin Rudolf’s debut album, In The City (out November 25th) should be filled with songs like this. I’m pretty excited.

Gossip Girl vs 90210 Music Showdown: Episode 2

Episode 1’s Music Showdown closed this morning to 90210’s music selection for episode 1 KILLING Gossip Girl’s music choices for both shows’ first episodes of this season. I’ve noticed that a lot of you Gossip Girl lovers are nulling this poll because Gossip Girl played a lot of the songs 90210 played, last season. I know, I know, but the poll is comparing this season’s episodic music choices. We’re looking at these at a week-to-week basis. So, yes, the winner of Episode 1’s Music Showdown is 90210, who took a whooping 69% of the votes!
