Lady GaGa’s The Monster Ball Tour w/ Kid Cudi!

So her tour with Kanye West was canceled, but ccording to GaGa Daily, Lady GaGa is ready to hit the road without Kanye… instead hitting up Kid Cudi to join her on stage:

Says Lady Gaga, “The Haus of Gaga had been designing ‘The Monster Ball’ for premiere in 2010 at the O2 Arena in London, but due to diligent work and preparation, ‘The Monster Ball’ will begin on November 27 in Montreal. ‘The Monster Ball’ is a multimedia artistic experience in the style of the first-ever pop electro opera.”

Lady Gaga will release a re-package of her breakthrough album, The Fame, called The Fame Monster, earlier that week, on November 23. The re-package will include eight brand new songs, including the club-banging first single “Bad Romance.” Continues Lady Gaga, “A message to all my little monsters: The Fame Monster will come out four days before the first live show. You have exactly 96 hours to learn all of the lyrics so you can sing along. Dress accordingly.”

Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West and Lady GaGa | Tour Dates

The only two artists that made this year’s VMAs interesting have banded together (after much hearsay and speculation) to give us this winter’s hottest tour. Kanye West’s Glow In The Dark Tour (w/ Rihanna, N.E.R.D., Lupe Fiasco, Nas) was immense and I can only imagine the insanity that Lady GaGa will bring to the stage (fire-breathing boobs? blood?).

Tickets will be sold through LiveNation beginning on September 25th in select markets. A few presales are going on too, but you either have to have a paid membership to the Fame Kills Tour Fan Club, or be a Citi cardholder. You can read all about that here. Just go on and look at the tour dates. Will you be attending?

Open Letter to Lady GaGa and/or Dr. Dre

I want these.

Open Letter to Lady GaGa and/or Dr. Dre mp3Open Letter to Lady GaGa and/or Dr. Dre mp3

Sidebar: Apparently Lady GaGa designed a pair of headphones for Dr. Dre’s Beats brand. They’re called Heartbeats and they’re available in October. Oh and GaGa is giving 30 of them away.

The way I see it is that my chances of winning are slim, so I’ll just ask politely :) (I want the ones in black)

Also, her new single, “Paparazzi” is ridiculously good. Especially the remixes (favorites being remixes by Stuart Price, Filthy Dukes, and Yuksek). Here’s a new one by the talented Mr. Vega.

Lady GaGa Has A Dick

Lady GaGa Has A Dick mp3
and I probably love her more for it. Ha.

I have a scary fascination with this woman. Make sure you catch her live shows at least once. Her personal anecdotes are almost more interesting than her performances.

Here are some GaGa remixes that I’ve been ignoring. They are definitely worthy of weekend playlists. Oh and that LAZRtag remix of “Poker Face” is epic.

Lady GaGa ft. Marilyn Manson – Love Game (Chew Fu Remix)

Mixtapes are strange beasts. They’re held in a different light than albums – new ideas painted over familiar canvasses featuring a variety of voices. Often, mixtapes seem minimally edited, as if they were rushed out as fast as possible without worrying about polish or shine. They are sketches, samplers, tastes of what may come to full fruition in the future.

But this form – which started underground and now rears its head in the mainstream – has started to shift its shape. More care is given to production, and many songs seem like they’d be right at home on a proper release. The line has become blurred.

Wale’s latest mixtape, Back to the Feature, blurs the line even more.

Why I Can’t Wait For Kanye West and Lady GaGa’s Tour Dates Announcement

A couple of weeks ago, Kanye West and Lady GaGa announced that they are going on tour together. “Details are still sketchy, but West said, “She’s talented and so incredible that she’s not an opening act. We’re doing it together, with no opening act.” Perez Hilton says that Gaga and Yeezy will instead spend the entire show onstage performing together” according to Rolling Stone.

Watching Kanye and GaGa perform together on stage might just be the best thing ever. I love Kanye and his Glow in the Dark Tour was great, but going to see Lady GaGa live again is my biggest incentive for going. As far as I can tell, she knows how to put on a show! For years, Britney Spears (Oops!… I Did It Again, Slave 4 U) and Beyonce (Ring The Alarm) have been lauded for their electrifying live performances on award shows and on tour, but I haven’t seen anyone throw it down like Lady GaGa since Madonna herself.

PMA’s Top Songs of the Week #1

I’ve done Top Song lists for April and May of 2009 using the Hype Machine’s Favorite Tracks system. Earlier today, while stuck in traffic, I was hit my inspiration — I could easily use PMA’s very own raw mp3 download data to formulate these lists. With this data, I can even make these lists a weekly occurrence and over .zip’s and everything. I felt this was an overall good idea.

So every Friday I will post up the 7 most downloaded tracks on Pretty Much Amazing and offer a .zip file as well. So here they are, this week’s top 7.

Lady GaGa – Paparazzi: Stuart Price & Yuksek Remixes

Lady GaGa Paparazzi: Stuart Price & Yuksek Remixes mp3
Last week Perez Hilton premiered GaGa’s crazy new video for “Paparazzi,” and two remixes by Stuart Price (aka Jacques lu Cont, Killers & Madonna producer) and Yuksek.

Stuart Price gives us a sound reminiscent of Madonna’s classic “Confessions on a Dance Floor.” This sound really work well with Lady GaGa. She might want to recruit Stuart Price for what better be the follow-up for the century, he will definitely find a way to keep it interesting. Yuksek’s remix is a bit more up my alley when it comes to remixes — lots of vamp, lots of cuts, and a penetrating, rolling drum that allows me to really sink my teeth into it. To be honest, if you ever wondered what a Lady GaGa and Justice collaboration would sound like, I would suspect it would sound a lot like Yuksek’s remix. Bravo!

Catch both remixes after the jump. Continue reading →
